Ludexio Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Ludexio Tally is a board game scorekeeping and collection app for
iPhone. Keeping score should work for everyone at the table, so the app is built with
Apple's accessibility technologies from the start rather than adding them later.
Summary
- Ludexio Tally supports VoiceOver, larger text (Dynamic Type, including the
accessibility sizes), Dark Mode, and Reduce Motion.
- Results never rely on color alone.
- New and changed screens are reviewed for accessibility before release.
- If something does not work with your assistive technology, report it to
[email protected] and it will
be treated as a bug, not a suggestion.
What the app supports
- VoiceOver. Controls carry descriptive labels, including the score
grids: each cell announces whose score it is and for which round, and empty cells
announce themselves as blank, so a multi-round game can be scored without sight.
The score calculator reads each line of a running sum aloud (“Plus 12”)
along with the total, and each bar of the plays chart announces its month and
count. Section titles on several screens are marked as headings, so the VoiceOver
rotor can move between them.
- Larger text. The app uses the system text styles, so your
preferred text size carries through. At the accessibility sizes, many screens
change layout rather than shrink: side-by-side tiles stack, rows of buttons move
under their text, and segmented choices become lists.
- Dark Mode. Supported throughout the app. You can follow the
system setting or choose Light or Dark in Settings.
- Reduce Motion. When Reduce Motion is on, celebration confetti is
not shown, badge flips and shimmer are turned off, springy animations are
replaced, and messages fade in and out instead of sliding.
- Color and contrast. Wins, losses and ties are shown with a symbol
and text as well as color, badge levels with filled marks and text, and every score
as a number. The app's text colors are checked by an automated test against a
4.5:1 contrast ratio in both light and dark mode.
- Voice Control. Buttons that show only an icon are given a spoken
name, so they can be activated by voice. If you find one that cannot be, tell us
and it will be fixed.
- Haptics. Vibration is never the only signal; everything it
confirms is also shown on screen.
- Standard controls. The app is built with Apple's native UI
framework, so system settings like Bold Text and Button Shapes apply to its
standard controls the way they do across iOS.
Known limitations
- Some dense score sheets are laid out as grids. They are fully labeled for
VoiceOver, but moving through a large grid one swipe at a time can be slow, and
the grids do not yet offer a custom rotor.
- At the largest accessibility text sizes, a few multi-column scoring screens need
horizontal scrolling.
- Share cards are images, and the image itself carries no text description. The
play data in them is always available as text inside the app.
- Reduce Transparency, Increase Contrast and Differentiate Without Color are
handled by iOS itself; the app does not yet adjust its own design for them. Some
of the app's custom-drawn tiles and chips may not show button shapes.
- A few labels on colored backgrounds fall short of the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. They
are tracked as bugs.
How this is tested
New and changed screens are reviewed before release for VoiceOver labels, Dynamic
Type, color contrast, touch target sizes, and motion, and the app's colors are checked
by an automated contrast test on every change. Accessibility issues reported by users
are tracked and prioritized alongside functional bugs.
